Marta Alfred
has had a camera in hand for over 35 years!
Her camera of choice these days is her trusty Canon 40Dslr. Growing up around horses and dogs, nature and animal photography was her specialty. Living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, landscapes are still a big part of her repetoire, as well as Pets and People!
As a kennel owner/operator, and dog show exhibitor, the patience required in working with animals ties in with the patience required when photographing animals, AND kids! Adding the older siblings and parents is just a bonus!
Current themes have been; *People and Pets*, *Seniors... on up* *Best Friends* and *Family Trees*.
Attending a local college for Photography Technology, she keeps up with the best of them, attending their helpful workshops and learning new techniques.
She shares her home in the Black Forest area of Colorado Springs, with her husband of 15 years, Harry, their two golden retrievers, Norton and Dice, 3 horses, and 4 chickens. Their 5 acre property lends itself beautifully to outdoor portraiture with an indoor studio in the works.
